Burley Cricket Club

Burley Cricket Club 1st XI v Lymington on Mon 17 Jun 2013 at 18.00
Burley Cricket Club Won by 9 wickets

Match report Burley ran out emphatic winners to progress to the semi finals of the Stone Cup. Lymington found the going tough and good fielding along with some tidy bowling ensured that the innings never really built any momentum. Only veteran Peter Tapper showed a little fight, but he ran out of overs and a victory targetof 112 was set.
Kieron Hudson and Jonathan Beck continued their form from Saturday putting on 87 for the first wicket. Hudson (40) was the man to fall, bowled unluckily trying to manoeuvre the ball into the legside and having to watch the ball trickle onto off stump. James Edworthy crashed 2 fours and 2 sixes and with Beck 43 not out the game and a place in the semi finals was neatly wrapped up.
