Burley Cricket Club

Burley Cricket Club 1st XI v Bramshaw II on Sat 28 Jun 2014 at 14.00
Match was Abandoned due to heavy rain at tea

Match report Heavy rain at tea derailed another Burley onslaught. Batting first, Burley for the second week running put the opposition bowling attack to the sword.
Last week Bashley took the hit, this week Bramshaw. Kieron Hudson and Jonathan Beck shared another opening stand of 200+ this week both reaching three figures. Beck was the only wicket to fall in the innings, caught behind for 119 off of the bowling of Rich Cooper, by far the pick of the Bramshaw attack. Alec Moorman hit an impressive half century, finishing 65* with Hudson at the other end 126*.
A light shower came at tea but looked as if the weather would pass but within 15 minutes the rain turned heavy and within an hour the ground resembled more a lake.
