Burley Cricket Club Sunday XI v Regals on Sun 27 Aug 2023 at 1:30pm
Burley Cricket Club Lost by 7 wickets

Match report Burley lost an enjoyable game on the Green to visiting side Regals, who brought a large entourage down from London. Winning the toss, visiting captain Sanjiv Sharma sent Burley into bat and their talented juniors, including Middlesex player Aditya Sharma (3-11) soon made inroads. Jamie Barrett top-scored (29) but after he was run-out in a mix-up Burley 's lower order collapsed with the big-hitting Gurpreet Singh and Abdullah Abassi perishing to some questionable balls.
Needing just 95 to win, Regals survived a couple of drops and although Gurpreet almost guaranteed the annual bowling trophy with two more wickets the game was soon up with the visitors staying for a drink in the sun before making the long journey home.
