Burley Cricket Club

Burley Cricket Club 2nd XI squad

2nd XI 2nd XI

Captain : Daniel Tucker

Vice Captain : Ray Gunn

Jonny Blundell
Jonny has been playing Sunday cricket for Burley for a few years now.  Another member of the club who bowls medium quick and also likes to hit the ball hard.  Will always willingly open the bowling and could bat anywhere in the top 11!
Jim Burry
Jim arrived at Burley during the early part of the 2010 season.  His medium pace has proved a useful asset to the team and he has also scored a few runs down the order, none more so valuable than the 60 at Sarisbury Athletic that gave the team a total to defend having struggled at the top of the order in the 2010 season.  Always keen to bat or bowl, not so keen (or even awake) when it comes to fielding.Having Been an outstanding fielder in his younger Days. And always up for the Banter
Ben Crowley
Ben joined in 2010 and  has scored useful runs for both the 1st XI and 2nd XI.  He bowls medium quick and is always keen in the field.  In recent years Ben has played an active part on the committee and had a spell as indoor captain. Along with wife, Julianne, Ben organised the inaugural Burley Ten10 tournament in 2013 (which the home club Sunday team won) helping to raise much needed club funds as well as a bloody good laugh!
Andy Dilworth
cripple - but will give it a go
Dan Maher
Dan followed Dad, John, and brother, Calum, into the Burley cricketing fraternity and has proved his worth at every level.  Dan's left hand batting and 'different' bowling action compliment his athletic ability in the field.
Alex Martin
burley 2s
Steven Moorman
Lifetime member and currently Captin of the Saturday 2nd XI and look after the sunday fixtures.
Martin Rapson
Martin joined Burley almost 20 years ago and during that time has played in all teams, Saturday and Sunday. He also skippered the 1st team in 2005 and 2006, taking on the mantle at a difficult period for the club.  He now plays regularly for the 2nd team often scoring runs at the top of the order.
